Royal Bath & West Show 2023

On a bright sunny day in Shepton Mallett, Somerset ,“Orchards & Cider” was the destination for those Members of the Fruiterers Company attending the Royal Bath & West Show 2023

The judging over five hundred entries at the Bath & West British Cider Championships 2023 was no easy task for the Master Fruiterer Matt Hancock and fellow judges in order to establish the winners of each class and ultimately find the producer of the best cider in the show who would be presented with “The Rupert Best Cup” formerly known as the “Worshipful Company of Fruiterers’ Cup” for the Supreme British Cider Champion Cider.
After much tasting and debate the names of the worthy recipients in each class emerged!
With the judging complete, prior to the awards presentation, the Master joined by fellow Fruiterers, retired to the Council & Members’ Pavilion for a hearty lunch together with members of the Worshipful Companies of Coopers, Pewterers and Woolmen.
